Witkop Foundation Programs
OPERATION PATRIOT HARVEST (OPH) places sponsors and hunters together in the field with honorees. OPH activities are community-based outdoor experiences conducted in the United States. The focus of recreation and professionally guided expeditions are used to promote morale, camaraderie and overall health and wellness.
Introducing and educating the children of veteran, military and first responder families with outdoor experiences and safari is designated OPERATION PATRIOT YOUTH (OPY).
Guiding and facilitating veteran, military and first responder families into the field on safari/excursions is designated OPERATION PATRIOT SAFARI (OPS). Those operations are typically outside the United States and would require lodging facilities provided by an outfitter.
Operation Patriot Harvest
The Foundation joins military, veterans and first responders with sponsor/hunters on a domestic U.S. activity or expedition. Participation in an OPH event will focus on morale, wellness, and recreation through various outdoor adventures in the field and around our campfire.
Operation Patriot Safari
The Foundation joins military, veterans and first responders with sponsor/hunters on an international safari or expedition. Participation in an OPS event will focus on morale, wellness, and recreation through various outdoor adventures in the field and around our campfire.
Operation Patriot Youth
The children of military, veterans and first responders are especially dear to us all. Both Jess and Don were fortunate enough to have been taught about the great outdoors by a parent and also able to pass on that tradition to their own daughters.
Through the Witkop Foundations efforts, these children will have an opportunity to participate in an outdoor excursion, learning about safe handling of firearms, appreciation of conservation and natural resources as well as the wildlife that depends upon it, teaching them the crafts of the harvest and the meaning of the circle of life.
